Tirthan Adventure's

Tirthan valley a hidden gem in the Himalayas well known for its natural beauty , outdoor activities and local culture. Its a gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The valley is covered with dense forest, peaks and including the Tirthan River. You can do camping, hiking , fishing etc. While visiting Tirthan you can also visit jibhi which takes another route and will take half an hour to reach. I have been to jibhi waterfall and other scared places like Balu temple there but for now lets talk about the Tirthan Valley where i recently went on a two days stay and explored the beauty. You can get buses from the kullu bus stand till bhuntar and from their you can get direct bus to banjar valley or do shifting from aut, to banjar bus stand and then take taxi or bus to the Valley as i did.

You can pre book the rooms or cottages as per your need in my case we already pre booked the rooms where we spent a night the place was gushahni the food and the hospitality of the people were everything, you will get plenty of places online you just need to search and book. For the next day we booked a taxi which cost us 15 to 1800 Rs for the whole day. The taxi bhaiya took us to this beautiful hidden hamlet Sharchi Jamala village which really bestowed us with its surreal beauty, it was a village to the back side of the tirthan river and according to us i think only 5% of tourist knows about this place. This place is one of my favorites!

T
hen he took us to the very famous chhoie waterfall we had to do a little hike of 3km to reach there and while hiking we endured the local culture, people and their routine life. This waterfall is named after the local deity Chhoi Mata. You will also get local shops and cafe at the start of the trek to chhoie waterfall.

The day we had to return back to our place so we took a bus back to kullu. From my experience it was a beautiful valley one should always come if he gets a chance. If you are interested in exploring more, you can also cover the very famous chahni kothi near jibhi. It takes a short hike to reach the village. Then there is the eye-catching temple of Shringa Rishi Ji at a place called bagi. This god is the primary deity of banjar region.

Talking about my expense and experience it just cost me around 3000 Rs as we were four girls so if you are going alone or in a group it will be a budget friendly trip. The acquaintance will take our breath away will surely lift your soul and enrich you will the never fading memories. Visiting such places will make you realize that how the culture and traditions vary from village to village.
